I’m looking for a good mystery for a Spring read. What author or book do you recommend?

“It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want—oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”

I haven’t checked out Mildred Abbot’s series yet. Thanks for the suggestion, Carolsue. And who doesn’t love Corgis!!

Hi Elizabeth and thanks SO much for the Giveaway! I love your Mystery style and I also love Cozy Mysteries. Kathi Daley is my favorite author in that genre and I highly recommend her latest series with Book 1 The Inn at Holiday Bay: Boxes in the Basement. “After suffering a personal tragedy Abby Sullivan buys a huge old seaside mansion she has never even seen, packs up her life in San Francisco, and moves to Holiday Bay Maine,”

Hi Sharon, I like Kathi’s cozy mysteries, too. I haven’t read this last series, so thanks for the recommendation!

Someone Knows by Lisa Scottoline, Never Tell by Lisa Gardner, The Lost Man by Jane Harper are the latest that I’ve read and could recommend.

Thanks for those recommendations, Maria. I’m not familiar with a couple of these authors, so I’ll enjoy discovering them.

I just finished Moycroft & Sherlock and it was FANTASTIC. It’s written by Kareem Abdul Jabar (of all people) he’s a huge Holmes fan. It’s actually when Moycroft and Sherlock were younger, so it’s a bit of a spin on thing and it’s quite good! It’s the 2nd book in the series. I also of course enjoy the Agatha Christie Piriot Mystery series too. I’m going to start on the ABC Murders soon. Her Miss Markle series is also quite good too. Also James Patterson’s “the President is Missing” which he wrote with Bill Clinton was really good – I was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully that has given you some reading “fodder” in which you can find a good mystery to curl up under a nice tree to enjoy the spring weather (though here it still can’t decide if it’s winter or spring – ala “sprinter” heehee)

Okay, Erin, I’m stealing “sprinter” LOL I’ve been a huge Sherlock Holmes fan ever since my dad give the complete works when I was in eighth grade. I will check Kareem Abdul Jabar’s book Out. I’m also a devotee of Agatha Christie and I’m always willing to reread any of her books. I’m intrigued by the Patterson-Clinton collaboration and glad to hear you enjoyed it. My TBT pile grows higher!
